I especially like &lt;a href="http://jessehull.com/2008/02/03/electric-kiln-actual-energy-consumption/" rel="nofollow"&gt;the one regarding the amount of electricity that you use when firing&lt;/a&gt; - this solved a long standing debate in my household. 
This article about kilns is fantastic. I'm passing it on to a friend who asked me what kind of kiln to buy for her classroom. I told her "Skutt", but my only reasoning was it is what I have and I like it.
